Hello everyone!
There are lots of new faces on the flist (greetings!), and I know a lot of people only check their friends page and not personal journals, sooo... I'm making a post to pimp my relatively new recommendation page.

So far it's just Bleach fanworks, but that may change if I get unlazy. :D (yeah right)

You all know how much I loved my old avatar, and why.  If you don't, then I encourage you to read this post and learn all about it. ;)

But it is now time for a new avatar!  That's because the original pic has been redone for a contest on dA, and as you can see, it's OMFG AMAZING!  Shelagh owns a little piece of my soul for doing this. ^_^

January 27/07:  SHE WON THIRD PLACE!  WOOHOO!  *pimps*

I didn't draw this.  I can't draw at all, I'm utterly hopeless.  But that's ok, because I have a friend who is good at drawing, who draws fanart for me to gush over.

If you follow my fics and your spidey sense is tingling, you're right on the money. 'The artist' from my story 'Muse' is this same friend who draws all the gorgeous Bleach guys for me.  I wrote that story for both of us, because we get fangirly thrills out of the RenjixIchigo crack pairing and there just aren't enough good fics out there.  The idea of characters posing or performing for fanworks has so much potential for absurd fun that I couldn't resist - and it just seemed right to give my friend 'the artist' a role.

What's that got to do with fanart?  Everything!  'The artist' decided to draw a special piece of fanart for me, in appreciation of her story. :) There were hints that I would "really like this one", and eventually I put a few clues together and decided she was drawing Renji tailored to my tastes.  Which is exactly what she did... with a twist.
