Last-minute reminder about the Come As You're Not event.  I have successfully completed my challenge to write something uncharacteristic of me, and I'm hoping to see some familiar names on Friday.  *waves at conjure_lass*  We did it, yay us! \o/

Now I have to go start planning my Death Star pumpkin... ;)

The idea of this is to write a fanfic that is unlike your own style. It sounds fabulous, and if I have time after finishing a billion other things, I'm going to try it.

One is a gift fanart for my borderline crack fic 'Renjipunzel', by evilchick2007. When I opened the pic, I just couldn't stop laughing - the little crown just kills me. XD Thanks for the giggle!



The other is another in xshelaghx's Bleach portraits series. This time it's the ever-naughty Kyouraku Shunsui. After seeing this, I think there really ought to be more Shunsui fangirls out there.

If you are a Saiyuki fan who's been following the current manga, there is now a brand new spiffy community that's sharing the Reload chapters, completely free and hopefully user-friendly! This is an ongoing project between athena8, jibii, and moshesque, because we figured the manga was kind of hard to come by. What we hope to provide are clean, clear scans and a full translation of each chapter. All posts are organised in neat tables, and there is also an optional zip download if you don't want to read the chapters on the community. The Feb mini-issue went up a few moments ago, and later tonight the March Reload chapter will also go up. Ok two things to pimp on this, the day between chapters. :D

First, Shelagh has tweaked the colouring on one of the pics for Covenant Chapter 17, and it's much, much better now.  Definitely take another look if you're caught up (otherwise not, 'cause it's spoilery)! 'Frenzy' (coloured). Funny how such small changes can make such a big difference.

Second, taintedkibou wrote me an adorable little RenIchi ficlet for xmas this year! I snickered lots. :D Read 'Wanna Bet?'.

While I'm at it, I want to thank taintedkibou, cmc42, and moshesque very much for fulfilling my single holiday wish request.  Thank you all for the R&R. ♥  And thank you to everyone reading and reviewing Covenant chapters as they go up - it's kind of like getting Christmas three times a week for *mumble* weeks! :D

Covenant fans, if you have read through to Chapter 16, then I strongly recommend you boogie over to platedlizard's LJ and read the hysterical bit of crack inspired by a discussion in the chapter comments. It's a ficlet called 'Yarn'.
